Feed your Mitochondria!
If you haven’t read my tab on mitochondrial health yet then you might be confused about why I would dedicate a smoothie to one little tiny part of your cell.
Well, spoiler alert. They run everything! Every single cell and organ in your body uses mitochondria to work, and if you they aren’t working then you don’t have energy!
For this reason I like to do whatever I can to fuel these little guys, with and without supplements, and I want to share that with you here today.
Mighty Mitochondria Smoothie

Serves: 1 serving
Boost your energy, and sustain it with this power drink!
Ingredients
- 1 c baby spinach
- 1.5 c water
- ½ c almond milk
- ½ c frozen blueberries
- 2 scoops collagen protein powder
- ¼ avocado
- 1 tbsp MCT oil
- 1 tbsp sunflower lecithin
- 1 tbsp chia seeds
- 2 tsp cocoa powder
Instructions
- Start by blending liquid with spinach (this helps to break it down)
- Add the rest of the ingredients, blend until smooth.
- Serve!
